JON SPENCER BLUES EXPLOSION is cancelled!
At a club concert with TEXAS in Copenhagen on thursday april 10th University Radio was told that TEXAS will visit Midtfyns Festivalen - but not Roskilde...
The festival had a deal with KORN, but Korn cancelled as they choose to play Lollapalooza in the USA instead.
For some time we thought that TOOL would play at this years festival, but their record company just told us (11/2/97) that Tool will tour the USA in the summer instead of playing Roskilde.
NO DOUBT played Roskilde last year, and rumours are telling that they will visit Denmark again this summer. But not Roskilde as their US-tour will last until july 3rd (thanx Thomas), leaving no room for Roskilde, so it looks like you have to go to Midtfyns Festivalen to meet them at a festival in Denmark.
Bob Hund, Suede, Ben Folds Five, Stereolab, Cast, Reef, Cornershop, Red Warzawa, Düreforsög, Lightning Seeds, GusGus, ibens, Hoover and this guy. The programmes will also feature one of mainmen behind the festival, Leif Skov. All this in the programmes on:
friday june 6th
friday june 13th
friday june 20th and
monday june 23rd
- for listeners in the Copenhagen area on 95,5 MHz/95,2 cable.
Finally University Radio will bring you the latest news about the festival live from the festival area, in the morning programmes on june 25/26/27 - news for the people on their way to Roskilde, or for the ones who won't actually be there, but who want to be updated anyway...
Tickets for the ´97-festival were on sale in december 1996. In Scandinavia
alone along with Finland and Germany app. 8.000 tickets were sold.
On april 1st 1997 ticketsale opened again - but hurry up. At april 3rd
40.000 tickets were sold, and as of april 17th more than
70.000 tickets of 90.000 were sold.
Informations on where to buy tickets is available on the following
